Globalcom installed a capacity engineered cellular infrastructure on a neutral host platform within the 85,000 seat venue of Camp Randall, as well as in five surrounding buildings. To get the cellular infrastructure on line we installed over 80,000 feet of 50-ohm coax and 96,000 feet of composite single mode fiber with over 3000 fusion splices. Additional scope included:

• DAS Master I-link interface to DAS Slave I-link interface for 12 VZN sectors and 24 AT&T Sectors
• BTS upgrades for selected carriers
• Full build out of slave/shared DAS components room
• Over 100 remote unit MIMO groups feeding over 450 MIMO directional and Omni antennas
• VSWR segment and system testing at high and low band requirements, including antenna sweep requirements
• High- and low-power PIM system testing with company-owned 700 and 1900 equipment
• Full project deliverables to the carrier integrator prior to CW testing schedule
• Committed on-air date achieved before football season started with game day system support on site thereafter
